Douglas has 14 years of accounting and finance experience. Currently he runs the finance department of an affordable housing real estate company. Douglas oversees accounting and asset management for 5000 units spread amongst 31 entities. Additionally, Douglas is an investor in both commercial and residential real estate. He has an interest in shopping centers in the northeast and southeast.

Douglas is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a licensed real estate broker in New York.

After finishing his MBA, Douglas worked as a financial analyst at Newmark Knight Frank for three years, where he was responsible for property, portfolio, and development underwriting and financial modeling, as well as accounting responsibilities related to commercial leases and real estate acquisitions.

Douglas has experience in several other industries besides real estate. He has worked in a real estate related technology firm, Rockport VAL, which developed a competitor to ARGUS for real estate cash flow modeling. He is also an investor in tech startups. Douglas has experience working with small medical offices in New York City.

In addition, Douglas is an adjunct professor of real estate financial modeling at Fordham University.
