Ulyana Y. Grichener is a Partner at Weisser Elazar & Kantor, PLLC, where she focuses her practice on first-party property insurance litigation and advocates on behalf of policyholders in disputes with insurance carriers. She represents residential and commercial property owners in matters involving denied, underpaid, and otherwise disputed insurance claims, working to secure the insurance benefits to which her clients are entitled under their policies.

Prior to joining Weisser Elazar & Kantor, PLLC, Ulyana practiced at an insurance defense firm in Hollywood, Florida, where she gained valuable experience representing insurers in litigation. Her prior defense experience provides her with a unique perspective in her current representation of policyholders and an understanding of insurance claims and litigation from both sides.

Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Ulyana earned her Bachelor of Business Administration, with a minor in Legal Studies, from Temple University’s Fox School of Business. During her undergraduate studies, she served as Philanthropy Chair for the Temple University Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta. Following graduation, she attended New York University’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies, where she earned a Paralegal Certificate.

Ulyana earned her Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law, along with a Certificate in Intercultural Human Rights. During law school, she served as Executive Editor of the Intercultural Human Rights Law Review and as President of both the Student Bar Association and the Jewish Law Students Association. She was also a member of Phi Alpha Delta, Mentschikoff Chapter, and the Elder Law Society.

In recognition of her leadership and commitment to service, Ulyana received the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Leadership and Service, as well as a Public Service Award for contributing more than 300 hours of pro bono service to the community. During law school, she also interned with the Miami-Dade County Court, gaining experience in probate matters.

Ulyana is admitted to practice law in Florida, Texas, New Jersey, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
