Finist and Owl is committed to providing access to books for passionate readers all over the United States. Finist and the Owl offers children and adults opportunities to introduce and explore fascinating literature from near and far, expanding their worlds, and enriching their lives. In addition to curating books in English, Finist and the Owl serves as a literary hub for the Russian speaking community by offering titles in Russian and supports the connection with French history and culture by offering books in French.  In addition to providing an opportunity to purchase books, Finist and the Owl offers opportunities to participate in events with authors, join book clubs, or benefit from  recommendations of  the owner, Dr. Yulia Watters, who will be happy to select a book based on yours and your loved ones interests and curiosities.

About the owner: Dr. Yulia Watters

In the past 10 years and presently, Dr. Yulia Watters serves as a Director of Curriculum Development first at Northcentral University and now at National University. Dr. Watters holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Geneva State University (Switzerland), a master’s and doctoral degree in Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University with a specialization in Medical Family Therapy and a master’s degree In Instructional Design from Northcentral University. Dr. Watters is a licensed marriage and family therapist in Delaware and Florida and has a private practice providing therapy in English, French, and Russian to first generation immigrants and multicultural couples

. 

Dr. Watters published extensively in several peer-reviewed journals. Her first book, Hypnobirth: Theories and practices for healthcare providers was published by Rowman and Littlefield. Her co-edited volume with Dr. Darren Adamson, Foundational concepts and models of Family Therapy: An Introduction for online learning is coming in August 2023 and will be published by Routledge. Dr. Watters is also a renowned speaker, and presented at the AAMFT Systemic Conference, Institutes for Advanced Systemic Family Therapy, as well International Family Therapy Congress in Portugal, Thailand, and Scotland. Dr. Watters’ passion for books and education let her to envision and create Finist the Owl, as a place of connection, education, and artistic growth.
