He has received extensive education in prestigious institutions. He completed a fellowship in Nutrition and Preventive Medicine at the New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. He trained and received certification in Obesity Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He did his Internal Medicine internship and residency at Boston University. Dr. Gitelmaker earned his Medical Doctorate from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, preceded by a Bachelor of Science degree with honors from Rutgers University- New Brunswick.
